All teams entering the Southeast Challenge must complete and submit the Team Certification Statement for both 8‑Ball and 9‑Ball, prior to the event. Players are not eligible to play in the event until they have signed the Team Certification Statement. Players must have signed prior to the round starting to be eligible for a scheduled round of play.
The purpose of this form is to make sure each player is participating at their true skill level. It’s your team’s one opportunity to flag any players who are playing above or below their listed level—before the tournament begins. Completing this form accurately protects the integrity of the event and helps prevent penalties or disqualification.
If a player is playing stronger than listed, their skill level should be raised now to avoid penalties later.
If a player certifies lower, that doesn’t mean they’ll play at a lower level—it just notifies the Tournament Director for review.
Major increases (multiple players or total movement of 3+ skill levels) could result in disqualification or official observation during play.
Skill levels can still go up during the event based on performance.
Tip: It’s always safer to raise a questionable player’s level now than risk having your team disqualified later.
⚠️ Important: Certifying a higher level means the player will compete at that higher skill level. Certifying a lower level does not mean the player will be allowed to play lower—the player's current skill level will still be enforced.

📝 Note: Anyone on the team can facilitate the above process—it does not have to be the Team Captain. Especially tech-savvy players are welcome to coordinate e-signing. However, each player must have a unique signature on the final form.

To ensure fairness and consistency across the Southeast Challenge, all teams and players must meet the following eligibility requirements.
Your team’s original roster is defined as your World Qualifier roster.
At least 5 players from that original roster must remain on the team for the Southeast Challenge.
Only teams that earned an official Southeast Challenge invitation via their League Operator may participate.
Teams may include up to 3 roster changes (see “Roster Changes” section below).
All players on your final roster, after any roster changes, must meet the following requirements:
Original and Non-Original Players:
Must be active in the same league area that is advancing the team.
Must be currently active in the format of the event (8-Ball or 9-Ball) with at least 4 matches played in Summer 2025 session.
Non-Original Players (additional requirements for players added to the roster for the Tournament):
Must have at least 20 lifetime scores in the format of the event.
These 20 scores must be within the past 2 years.
Skill levels will reflect each player's current skill level as of September 1.
No overrides or exceptions—whatever your skill level is on that date is what will be used during the tournament.
A player may appear on no more than two rosters per format.
No two teams may share more than two players in the same format.
Players may participate in both 8-Ball and 9-Ball, but must be prepared for potential overlap.
🔔 Important Note on Format Overlap:
While rare, a potential conflict may occur for players on both formats if their 8-Ball team advances to the Finals, which overlaps with the 3:00 PM start of the first 9-Ball round on Sunday, September 7. In this event, Tournament Directors may consider schedule adjustments at their discretion.
Teams are permitted to make up to 3 roster changes by adding new players ("non-original players").
All non-original players need 20 lifetime matches in the format of the Tournament by August 1st.
Roster changes can be made at no cost through August 20th.
Roster changes made between August 21st and August 31st are charged a $50 administrative fee.
All roster changes must be finalized by August 31. No roster changes will be allowed as of September 1st.
Roster changes can only be made by the League Operator advancing the team. Contact your League Operator if you need to make a roster change.
