Through this page, we aim to provide you with up to date coaching information, resources and support for all stages of your coaching journey. We will update you here for all SNA coaching events and provide you links to England Netball resources and courses. We would like to also highlight SNA coaching opportunities, so that it might aid our members in finding coaches.

Coaching for Coaches With Mikki Austin

On Saturday 3rd February 2024, we had 16 coaches from across the county join us and Mikki Austin, for a coaching for coaches session. We looked at Attacking Principles and identifying best practice through court.

We had a fantastic afternoon with lots of 'food for thought' and solid take aways.

With thanks to all attendees and to Mikki who delivered a very insightful session!

I believe it is important that coaches have access to structured resources, opportunities to collaborate and means to progress in their own coaching journey. This journey looks different for each individual, whether it be a coach that is involved in junior squad development or coaches working with performance/competition level players.

For me, the coach is the linchpin of any squad of players, irrespective of their playing ability. Therefore, it is important that all coaches have access to coaching materials/resources that support their session planning, opportunities to collaborate with others and develop their practice through structured training and development.

I completed my Level 2 in coaching 2012 and since then, in this time I have been coaching across across both juniors and seniors. I currently coach teams in Hampshire division 2 (senior), and the University of Southampton Squads 1 & 2. Being able to support athletes in developing and honing their skills within their position(s), is exceptionally fulfilling.

I have a huge passion for netball and coaching and I would love to share this with others. As of 2025, I have become an England Netball Coaching Tutor and Assessor, for Level 1 and Level 2 courses.
