The PAC Committee is elected annually in April, and we rely on dedicated parent volunteers to fill these important roles. Executive members may serve for a maximum of four years. If you’re interested in getting involved, we’d love to hear from you!
Open Invitation: Every parent or guardian of a student at South Park is automatically a member of the PAC. We invite and encourage all parents to attend the AGM to stay informed and connected.
Nominations: Any parent can nominate themselves for an Executive role or a Member-at-Large position. No prior experience is required—just a desire to support our school!
The Voting Process: To ensure transparency and fairness, we follow a formal voting process during the meeting to elect the individuals who will lead the PAC for the next school year. Voting will take place on April 7th for the 2026/2027 school year.
Executive Committee Positions:
Chair: Provides leadership, prepares meeting agendas, and acts as the primary liaison between the PAC, the school administration, and the community.
Vice-Chair: Supports the Chair in their duties and is ready to step in to lead meetings or projects as needed.
Treasurer: Manages the PAC’s finances, including budgeting, bookkeeping, and providing financial reports at meetings.
Secretary: Responsible for recording the minutes of all meetings and managing PAC correspondence and records.
Fundraising Coordinator: (Newly filled!) Oversees the planning and execution of initiatives to raise funds for school enhancements.
Members-at-Large: If you want to be involved without the commitment of a specific officer role, becoming a Member-at-Large is a great option. These members attend meetings, vote on PAC business, and contribute their voices and ideas to various sub-committees and projects.

What is the PAC and Purpose?
“The Parent Voice” - Discuss and share parent views with school administration and provide input/feedback
Promote involvement of parents/guardians to contribute to the effectiveness of the school
Work collaboratively with the school to enhance our children’s education
Raise funds to support school goals through PAC sponsored fundraising events and activities
Who is the PAC?
YOU ARE! Any parent/guardian of a child attending the school is automatically part of the PAC.
PAC Executives are parents who have volunteered their time (only a few hours a month) to fill these more hands-on roles.
Why Fundraise?
The PAC listens to the needs of the school and parent community raising funds to subsidize many of the things we do to give our children the best possible experience in their elementary school years.
Funds from the PAC have helped with classroom funds, technology updates, library books, field trip funds, our courtyard update to name a few.
How can you get involved?
Attend the PAC meetings (most are via zoom so you can join from the comforts of your home) - these meetings are under an hour!
Volunteer with events (watch for an email call out)
Spread the word for PAC fundraisers and events
