When you are on a government team (Police, Sheriff, Fire, or DOT), you are required to follow all of these rules in order to ensure a smooth roleplay experience.
Follow All Road Rules
You are not allowed to drive erratically, break traffic rules, speed, etc.. while on a government team. Constantly breaking road rules could lead to a termination of your license.
Arresting Players
When arresting a player, you must ensure that they are in a position where you would be able to cuff them in real life. If the suspect is running then you wouldn’t be able to cuff them. You must also transport them to the prison, you are to never auto jail them.
Gun Usage
When handling a scene, your weapon must be your last line of defence. You are always to try and de-escalate the situation before resorting to using force.
Large Scenes
Before you create a large roleplay scene such as: Roadworks, car crash, bank robbery, large police chase, etc.. you are required to request for staff permissions before continuing with the roleplay. If you notice a large roleplay that looks messy or unorganised, call for moderation assistance.Any violation of the realism rules could lead to a demotion within departments or less chance of acceptance when applying for one.
While responding to a scene, you are required to use the most realistic approach that you would use if the situation were real.
Listen To Whitelisted
If you are responding to a scene and a whitelisted member is there, you are required to listen to them and what they tell you to do. You are not to do whatever you want.
Team Restrictions
If you are not requested on a scene that is not explicitly dedicated toward the department you are currently on-duty for, you are not to respond to the scene. If there is a shooting you would see paramedics but you most likely wouldn’t see a tow truck.
Vehicle Towage
You are not allowed to tow any vehicle that is on the street, you are requied to be called out to tow a vehicle. If the vehicle is not an NPC vehicle, you are required to gain the permissions of the vehicle owner before towing the vehicle. The only exception to this is if an officer has requested you to remove a suspect’s vehicle. If you are unsure of what to do at a scene, ask someone through the radio or ask another responding unit.
As a whitelisted member you are held to a high standard when roleplaying within Gold Coast Roleplay. All of the below are perks and rules around being a whitelisted member.
