The South Asia Funnel is part of the Subject Authority Cooperative Program (SACO) and dedicated to developing a framework for proposing new South Asia-related Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH) and new classification numbers for Library of Congress Classification (LCC).  We also propose changes to outdated, inaccurate, and harmful South Asia-related Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH).  We aim to facilitate cooperation between catalogers, subject librarians, scholars, and community stakeholders to improve discovery for and access to South Asia materials.
