Tracing Archival Personae: Autobiographics and the Rhythms of Voice in Kassia’s writings
Life Writing, forthcoming
Abstract:
This paper proposes the archival persona as a way of engaging lives that surface through dispersed and fragmentary traces. Emphasizing multiplicity and resonance over coherence, it reads Kassia’s scattered hymns, chronicles, letters, and secular texts as rhythmic echoes, composing a life in motion rather than a unified autobiography.
