Linking to YouTube or Twitch (etc.) allows comments received while livestreaming to be displayed on the VR-side display, and those comments can be analyzed and turned into in-game objects!
This provides an even more immersive and integrated game experience!
Linking to YouTube requires the following:
YouTube Data API key
Video ID
Please see below for information on acquiring the required API key and video ID.
Access Google Cloud Platform, and create a new project.
Click [Create Project].
The screen will change, so add the name of your choosing to your project and click [Create] on the bottom-left.
From the left-side menu, click [APIs & Services], and then click [Library].
Click the item labeled [YouTube Data API v3].
Click [Enable] to enable [YouTube Data API].
From the left-side menu, click [Credentials].
Click [Create Credentials] at the top, and move on to key creation.
Select [API Key] at the very top.
Your API key will be displayed onscreen!
That's it, you're finished.
Use this to show that you're currently broadcasting.
Copy the part of the URL after [watch?v=].
[CAUTION]
When doing this, be sure to delete [?] and/or [&] and everything after these symbols.
These parameters specify how a video is played, and will prevent your video from being properly linked if included in the video ID.
Linking to Twitch requires the following:
OAuth key
Channel ID
Access the [Twitch Chat OAuth Password Generator], and click [Connect].
Twitch will request permission, so be sure to allow it.
Next, you will see a screen like the one below.
The red underlined part is your OAuth key.
[CAUTION]
Here it is formatted as [oauth:~~], but in the game please be sure to input the "[oauth]" part as well.
After this, your channel ID will be added to your URL.
The red underlined part ("mercurystudio" in this example) is your channel ID.
