We are hiring two Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) to join our research group for a project in thermochemical catalysis, solar-thermal systems, and Solar fuels/hydrogen production.

The positions offer an opportunity to work at the interface of hetergeneous catalysis, materials, and thermal/process engineering, with the possibility of transitioning to a PhD position based on performance and eligibility.

Position details:

Initial appointment: 1 year; Extendable up to 5 years upon transition to PhD program. Alternatively, project associateship may be extended up to 3 years

Suitable backgrounds: Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, and Mechanical Engineering (experience/interests in thermochemical & heterogeneous catalysis preferred).

NET/GATE qualifications are preferred.

PhD Students: We have several openings for Ph.D. students on various exciting projects. Students (having qualified NET/GATE/CSIR/INSPIRE fellowships) with strong academic backgrounds in materials science/chemistry/physics/chemical engineering are encouraged to apply through IIT-K PhD admissions application portal. Prior knowledge or experience in related research areas are encouraged but not mandatory, as long as you are ready to learn new things & explore unchartered waters.

M.Tech/B.Tech/BS-MS students: If you are studying at IIT-Kanpur and are motivated to do a project in our group, please drop me an email. Having some knowledge of related research areas is useful, but not mandatory. You can actively take part in a wide range of problems that our group is working on (check Research ).
