Policies

• A cancellation fee of $25 will be charged for appointments cancelled fewer than 3 days in advance.

• FULL price will be charged for appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.

• Informed consent is required prior to receiving services. A form will be provided upon scheduling.

What is informed consent?

• Informed consent is a principle in medical ethics, medical law, media studies, and other fields, that a person must have sufficient information and understanding before making decisions about accepting risk, such as their medical care. 

• To maintain a nurturing environment for wellness and healing

• To maintain a safe and clean physical environment

• To promote a relationship of trust and communication free of prejudice or judgment

• To provide high quality bodywork, giving highest regard to client needs and expectations

• To communicate expertise honestly and clearly

• To work within scope of practice and to refer to other professionals as needed

• To protect client confidentiality, privacy, and modesty at all times

• To promote client engagement of self-healing and wellness

• To abide by the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals Code of Ethics

• To provide accurate and honest information and to inform therapist of any current infectious conditions

• To treat staff and other guests with courtesy and respect

• To provide at least 24 hours notice if any appointment is to be missed

• To provide payment at time of appointment

• To never arrive at a session impaired by drugs or alcohol

• Sexual harassment of any kind will result in an immediate termination of the session without a refund and a lifetime ban from receiving further services. 

What is sexual harassment?

• The use of explicit OR IMPLICIT sexual overtones

• Promises of rewards in exchange for sexual favors

• A physical or verbal request for sexual favors

• Making sexually suggestive remarks

• Showing pornography

• Any physical, verbal, or non-verbal conduct of a sexual nature
