This composition is structured around what might be termed a "network form." This non-linear approach to organizing the musical narrative involves the introduction of "temporal memories." It incorporates "creative quotations" from the works of earlier composers (Schoenberg’s Op. 19, Guillaume de Machaut’s motet "Quant en moy / Amour et biauté / Amara valde") as well as "stylistic evocations" for genres that are primarily unwritten (Chilean *Cueca*, electronic music).
The piece is conceived as a love song dedicated to my wife, featuring poems by Pablo Neruda ("El viento en la isla," in Spanish) and Fernando Pessoa ("O amor é uma companhia," in Portuguese).
