Acrylic on Canvas Sheet 16" x 20" (2023)
This is the first piece in The Mundane Collection. Doing my makeup has always been therapeutic for me. I wanted to capture the peace of doing makeup for yourself in the morning. I also thought about how differently people use makeup. Some use it to hide themselves, while others use it purely as an art form. However you use makeup, it can be a peaceful process in which you can reflect.
This is the second piece in The Mundane Collection. I aimed to capture the final moment before stepping out of the house, an ordinary yet significant action. To elevate the composition of the piece, I introduced colored lighting, transforming the routine into something visually striking.

Acrylic on Stretched Canvas (2023)
This is the third painting in The Mundane Collection. With this piece, I wanted to capture the serenity that comes with the mundane. I find that people today feel overwhelmed by the weight of the world. Through this piece, I wanted to show how I feel when I stop and just focus on the things I can control.
This is the fourth drawing in The Mundane Collection. Many people use food to show their love, myself included, so I wanted to capture the time and care that goes into making that gesture of love.

This is the sixth work in The Mundane Collection. I wanted to capture how reading can be seen as boring, but it is one of the most relaxing things people can do. It is also the easiest way for people to educate themselves.

Acrylic on Canvas Sheet 12" x 16" (2023)
This is the seventh work in The Mundane Collection. I used colored lights to add interest to a piece that otherwise wouldn't be as intriguing.
This is the eighth image in The Mundane Collection. I wanted to play with colors even more in this work to create a space that feels strange but also familiar.

Acrylic on Wood Board 16" x 20" (2024)
Acrylic on Stretched Canvas 24" x 24" (2024)
This is my eleventh work in the mundane collection. I wanted to show how, when you're going through loss, it can be difficult to go through your loved ones' things.
This is the twelfth work in The Mundane Collection. I wanted to show how even some mundane things can be a privilege for some. I know a lot of people struggle to keep up with hygiene for a variety of reasons
Oil on Stretched 24" x 24" Canvas (2024)
Acrylic on Canvas Sheet 8" x 10" (2024)
This is the thirteenth work in The Mundane Collection. I wanted to capture how the mornings can feel so frustrating, but they are an important part of everyone's day
This is the fourteenth and final work in The Mundane Collection. This painting, to me, represents the complex nature that technology can have on friendships. On one hand, you have a constant connection to your friends, leading to close relationships and meaningful conversations. On the other hand, that same accessibility to people can create an overly dependent relationship. I wanted to show how technology can be used simultaneously to create and burden relationships.
