About Me!!
Hi, I'm Sophia Farkas, a Clinical Mental helath Counseling student with a passion for helping individuals navigate trauma, attachment wounds, identity development, emotional dysregulation, and the deeper patterns that shape our lives and relationships. Since 16 years old, I have felt drawn with a deep calling toward psychology and understanding the complexities of the human mind. It began as curiosity and individual healing, then quickly evolved into a calling rooted in empathy, insight, and desire to create meaningful change in the lives of others.
My counseling approach is grounded in authenticity, compassion, and creating a safe space for individuals to explore their struggles and strengths. I believe healing begins when people feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported without judgement. I'm drawn toward trauma-informed care, psychodynamic concepts, attachment theory, and helping individuals reconstruct their narratives in ways that foster growth, resilience, and self-awareness.
Outside of counseling
I enjoy reading, staying active, writing, exploring nature, spending time with friends, expressive arts, and engaging in continued learning of mental health, human behavior, and personal growth. I value lifelong learning and strive to continously growth personally and professionally as I develop my identity as a future therapist.
in progress...
