The Mission of Special Olympics is to provide year round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.

Come enjoy the beauty of Oakside Community Park while getting some exercise!
WALKING CLUB IS BACK! Each month will be at a different location. This month is at Oakside Community Park, which has a walking path of crushed stone. It's relatively flat. We invite all athletes and their families as well as our coaches and volunteers with their families!
Let's get healthier together, one step at a time!
LOCATION CHANGE for SOFTBALL:
Starting May 2, softball practices will be held at Oakside Community Park in Biglerville. The address for the park is 2880 Table Rock Rd, Biglerville, PA 17307. Follow the arrows on the map below to FIELD #3. There is parking at the softball field.
Practices will remain on Thursday evenings from 5:30-7:30pm. The only change is the location!

Who would like to pay $30 to honor a Special Olympics athlete or team by having the athlete's or team's photo attached to a golf cart for our GOLF CHALLENGE? We can even provide a photo if you don't have one!
This is an IDEAL way for families, neighbors, and friends to honor their SPECIAL loved ones while also helping to make sure that Team Adams can continue to do what we do!

kAYAKING NEEDS HELP!
We are in DIRE NEED of someone who has FIRST AID CERTIFICATION to attend our KAYAKING practices at Codoris State Park (Sailboat Launch) on the following Saturdays from 9:00-10:30am.
June 15 & 22, July 27, August 3 & 17
The park's rules require that we have someone present who has first aid certification, and our regular kayaking first aid volunteer is not available on the above dates. If you are certified and can do any (or all!) of these dates, please email Dorothy at mrsdcb@gmail.com as soon as possible. Practices will have to be cancelled on those dates if we cannot find someone.
NOTE: You do NOT need to know anything about kayaking! You can stay on land and sit in a lawn chair at our launch area.
