The Korean Studies program at SDSU started in the fall of 2008 to serve the needs of the greater San Diego Community and respond to the interests of SDSU students of both Korean and non-Korean backgrounds.
The program is comprehensive: (1) It offers six levels of language courses (Elementary I & II, Intermediate I & II, & Advanced Korean I & II), and Business Korean. (2) For Korean culture, the Program offers Korean Civilization (KOR 321) and Contemporary Korean Culture through Media (KOR 430).
All Korean courses are integrated into several interdisciplinary programs at SDSU: International Business, Asian Pacific Studies.
The program also offers Korean Studies Certificate providing students with a high proficiency in the Korean language and a foundational understanding of Korean culture and history.
The Korean Program curriculum is growing. Please check back for updates.
Your comments are also welcome. Thank you.
