This is a podcast presented by the editorial team for the Sonoma State History Journal, a student-run academic journal at Sonoma State University, in association with the Department of History. The primary purpose of this podcast is to serve as a resource for future iterations of the editorial team, and allow the current editors to discuss the process of producing the History Journal from conception to publication, both in online and print formats.
Former editors Kyle Torr and Jared Height discuss the inner workings of the editorial team of the Sonoma State History Journal with a rotating roster of guests, including former and current editors of the History Journal and faculty moderators. The podcast also covers the wide-ranging benefits of an academic journal run by students for students, the skills that the History Journal class (HIST 496) offers, and insight to the editorial team's thought process on the road to publication.
