I was born on October 4, 1976, in Vélez, Santander. My parents are Jose Rogerio Rivera Hernandez and Alcira Ruiz. I have two children, Cristian Camilo Tellez Rivera and Maria Juliana Reina Rivera. I'm a nurse. I learned Vélez music from my grandparents. In Corazón Santandereano I play some percussion instruments such as quiribillos, esterillas, guacharaca and chucho. I am proud to say that my father Rogerio was the one who built most of the percussion instruments for the Corazon Santandereano group.

For me, Corazón Santandereano can be summed up in one word: love.

I was born on January 2, 1996, in Bucaramanga, Santander. I am the son of Carolina Rivera Ruiz, grandson of Rogerio Rivera and great-grandson of Segundo Rivera and Mercedes Hernandez de Rivera. I am an engineering student. I have participated on different occasions with Corazón Santandereano including in Velez, Bucaramanga, Ginebra and Cartago. In Corazón Santandereano I have played requinto and percussion instruments, especially the guacharaca. My grandparents, great-grandparents, uncles and cousins were the people who taught me the music of Vélez. From an early age my grandfather Rogerio taught me to play the guacharaca, an instrument that he made himself and that he performed in the musical group. My musical training allowed me to learn other instruments such as the drums and the double bass.

To me, Corazón Santandereano represents love, tradition, family unity and pride in folklore.

I was born on February 4, 2003 in Bogotá. I am the daughter of Carolina Rivera Ruiz, granddaughter of Rogerio Rivera and great-granddaughter of Segundo Rivera and Mercedes Hernandez de Rivera. I am currently an engineering student. My grandparents and great-grandparents taught me to interpret the music of Vélez and some percussion instruments such as the chucho, the quiribillos and the esterillas.

For me, Corazón Santandereano represents family union, joy, pride for Veleño culture and love for my family.

I was born in Vélez, Santander. I am the First son of Ignacio Rivera and Nelly Ariza. I'm a electronic engineer. I learned to interpret the traditional music of Vélez with my parents and my paternal grandparents. In Corazón Santandereano I often play the tiple.

For me, Corazón Santandereano represents the represents the bond that is established between my whole family through music.

I was born in Vélez, Santander. I am the second son of Ignacio Rivera and Nelly Ariza. I'm a mechanical engineer. I learned to interpret the traditional music of Vélez with my parents and my paternal grandparents. In Corazón Santandereano I play the requinto on some occasions.

For me, Corazón Santandereano means taking our blood and customs up high wherever we are present. It is our own seal that God gave us from the beautiful lands of Vélez, Santander so that everyone knows how warm and friendly we Santandereanos are. It is definitely a source of pride and a blessing to be part of Corazón Santandereano.

I was born in Vélez, Santander. I am the third son of Ignacio Rivera and Nelly Ariza. I'm a an economist. I learned to interpret the traditional music of Vélez with my parents and my paternal grandparents. In Corazón Santandereano I have played the requinto.

I was born on February 17, 1980, in Bogotá, Colombia. I am the first child of Ana Cecilia Rivera and Luis Hernando Cantor. I studied engineering and later did my PhD in biomedical engineering at the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada. I was always involved with music since it has always been part of our family. I am part of the Canadian Men Chorus Choir, studied the flute and played the cuatro. In the group Corazón Santandereano I play percussion instruments.

For me, Corazón Santandereano represents family, tradition, heritage, the connection with the roots, with the land, and with our history.

I was born on July 3, 1983, in Bogotá, Colombia. I am the third child of Ana Cecilia Rivera and Luis Hernando Cantor. From a very young age, I was always in contact with music. I learned to play Vélez's music by watching my mother, my maternal grandparents and my uncles and aunts. My first time participating in the Corazón Santandereano group was in the flower parade. I studied electronic engineering and I am currently doing a specialization in data storage for business intelligence.

For me Corazón Santandereano represents my process of musical initiation and family union.

Jonathan was born on September 15, 1981. Although he was born with autism, Jonathan joins the Corazón Santandereano group to the best of his abilities. He made his first appearances in Corazón Santandereano in the flower parade. His interest in music has been evident especially in singing. In 2013, he performed the national anthem at the culmination ceremony of the academic year at the Neurorehabilitar Institute in Bogotá, Colombia.
