After the first edition demonstrated Icelandic city life, edition two heads to a smaller fishing town is South-East Iceland. Höfn (or Höfn í Hornafirði) lies near the Hornafjörður fjord, receiving income from visitors looking to experience Icelands' natural beauty. Hofn is a town fuelled by income from not only fishing, but tourism. As well as the Hornafjordur fjord, Hofn offers scenic views of Vatnajökull, the largest ice cap in Europe.
Hofn serves as a tight community, yet another difference from bussling Reykjavik, with the town hosting Humarhátíð, an annual lobster festival! We hope we can return in July when the festival is in full swing!
