Hydro Nation Scholarship Programme
Victoria Porley, from the Schools of Chemistry and Engineering at The University of Edinburgh, doing her PhD research project on water purification through photocatalysis, using low-cost materials and solar energy. The goal of the project is to develop a catalyst material that can be used in rural Indian villages to easily remove bacteria and other organic pollutants from unsafe drinking sources. Therefore, she has a visiting research placement at the IIT Kharagpur in order to test materials under real-world conditions. The project is funded by the Hydro Nation Scholarship programme.

AICTE-QIP Programme
Dr. Nayak is an Associate Professor in the School of Environment, Enterprise and Development, Faculty of Environment at the University of Waterloo. His main areas of expertise and interest include environmental change and governance, social-ecological system resilience and regime shifts, commons, wellbeing, vulnerability and viability, environmental justice, political ecology along with inter- and trans-disciplinary approaches. In the past, Prateep worked as a development professional in South Asia on issues around community-based governance of land, water and forests, focusing specifically at the interface of research, implementation and public policy.
