Have you thought about whether or not a fire truck or ambulance can easily access your house? We often come across properties where it would be extremely difficult or impossible to enter a driveway with a fire truck. Imagine if a fire truck or ambulance couldn't reach you due to narrow driveways or gates, low-hanging branches, or unclear addresses. Here’s how you can help us help you:
Clear Your Driveway: Trim any branches or remove obstacles that could block a fire engine. Make sure there's at least 12 feet of width and 13.5 feet of height clearance throughout the length of your driveway to allow access for emergency vehicles.
Allow for Maneuvering: If possible, create space for emergency vehicles to turn around on your property or in a section of your driveway.
Have Your Address Visible: Check that your house number is displayed with reflective numbers and can be easily seen when coming from either side of the street.
