Lake George Regional Park is a day-use lakeside park. Easily accessible off Route 2, each year a combination of roughly 20,000 community members and visitors use the lake and its surrounding 320 acres of land.
East Entrance: Hiking/biking trails, boat launch, fishing, swimming, pet friendly swimming, picnic area, and Move More Kids story walk.
West Entrance: Hiking trails, fishing, swimming, and picnic area.

Located behind the Madison Post Office and Town Office are two fenced-in outdoor basketball courts and a skate park, offering a great spot for active recreation right in the heart of town.
This 18-hole disc golf course was originally built in 2012 by students and staff, and has been expanded and well-maintained over the years. The course starts near the tennis courts, winds through the woods behind the soccer field, comes up next to the football field, then loops onto the cross-country trail before weaving back through the woods to finish behind the tennis courts.

This facility hosts Little League football games and features four baseball fields and two softball fields. Scenic walking trails, accessible from all parking areas, wind through the woods and around the ball fields and feature a Move More Kids story walk.

A small park with access to the Kennebec River. There is a public boat launch, fishing dock, playground, open space, picnic area, and a short footpath located at the back of the park with access to fishing opportunities.
Located along the shore of Mill Pond/Sebasticook River on Sebasticook st. The park has water access for boating and personal water-craft and multiple picnic tables. The park also has a number of tree species that have been identified for those curious.
Roughly 4 acres in the center of Central st., Hathorn st. and Somerset ave. This park features shaded walkways, numerous benches and picnic tables, a playground, basketball court, and baseball field. This is also where the Pittsfield Farmer's Market takes place.
Located on Waverly ave. right next to the Sebasticook River, the park has an abundance of outdoor rec opportunities including water access, hiking, skating, and skiing! The park has several short alpine trails serviced by a rope tow and a clubhouse with rest rooms, a snack bar, and a fireplace. The clubhouse can also be rented for private functions.
Many local schools in Somerset County offer trails, fields, picnic areas, playgrounds, and more to explore. These spaces are often open to the public after school hours, during weekends, and summers, making them a great spot for family-friendly outdoor fun close to home.

Coburn Park consists of approximately twelve and one-half acres, located on the bend of the beautiful Kennebec River. Since 1903, citizens each year have improved the park by planting flowers, shrubs and trees. At the present time there are well over 200 species of trees growing. The park features walking/biking trails, picnic areas, and scenic views.

This scenic property on the Kennebec River is a popular destination maintained by the Somerset Woods Trustees. Picnic tables and BBQ stations are available and there is an adjacent improved boat ramp.

The Skowhegan Community Center Complex offers an abundance of opportunities, including; basketball, playgrounds, baseball fields, skate park, ice skating rink in the winter, green spaces, and offer community based programming.
