The Somerset County Democratic Committee (SCDC) is a group of people throughout Somerset County, all of whom believe in the principles of freedom, justice, and opportunity for all.
If you live in Somerset County and share our commitment to these principles, we need you to join us and become a volunteer—especially at this critical time, with the days ticking off before the critical midterm elections on November 3rd.

Why does Volunteering Matter?
Why does Volunteering Matter?
The midterm elections on November 3 will determine who is in control of our federal and state government. Voting for and electing candidates for federal and state office, up and down the ballot, will determine the future of our neighbors’ lives in Somerset County. It is critical that we do everything we can to elect our Democratic candidates in the upcoming election—and we need volunteers to do that!

Want to make the biggest impact? Door knocking is the gold standard and it’s fun! Head out with fellow volunteers, meet your neighbors, and have real, face-to-face conversations with voters. Some canvassing days even wrap up with a get-together at one of our fabulous local restaurant partners. If door knocking isn’t the right fit for you, phone banking is another great way to connect with voters. Or write postcards at home or at one of our postcard parties.
