Transportation Resources

Metrorail:

• Hours: 8 a.m. – 11 p.m.

• Service: Trains run every 20 minutes on Red Line, every 30 minutes on all other lines. Stations served by multiple lines have more frequent service.

• Stations: 19 of Metro’s 91 rail stations are closed until further notice.

• Boarding Change: First and last cars of all trains are closed to the public for the protection of train operators and other essential Metro staff. All trains are 8 cars in length. Use cars 2-7 and maintain social distancing while aboard the train.

Metrobus:

• Hours: First bus times vary by route. Bus service will continue until 11 p.m. Last buses depart starting points at 11 p.m.

• Routes: 27 designated routes only – less than a third of typical Sunday service.

• Service: Buses arrive every 30 minutes unless otherwise noted. See list below.

• Boarding Change: All customers should enter and exit the bus using the REAR DOOR, except individuals using mobility devices or require bus kneeling. Fares are waved during this time.

• For your safety: Bus operators may bypass bus stops if the vehicle cannot safely accommodate additional passengers while maintaining adequate social distancing.

MetroAccess:

• All subscription trips remain canceled. Please limit travel to only the most essential trips.

DDOT:

• DC Streetcar continues its regular schedule.

• Capital Bikeshare continues regular operations.

• Circulator bus fare is free. Passengers are asked to board and exit through the rear of the bus. However, persons in wheelchairs will continue to board at the front door.

• Rush hour parking restrictions are suspended.

• Rush hour reversible lanes operations on Connecticut Avenue and 16th Street NW suspended.
