PERCEIVING PATHWAYS with BIRGITTE LUNDTOFT
This class will make you feel soft and connected. We will listen to both ourselves and each other and achieve greater clarity and playful simplicity in movement.
We begin from the body’s fluid ground, from the fluid, volume and membranes of the cells. We connect this with the body’s nervous system, the central and peripheral nervous system. What dance creates the oscillation between rest and movement, between sensation and movement, and how does it change your perception of yourself, of space?
You can expect to move from your inner living body, relating to, shaping and moving in interaction with the spaces around you.
The tone of the class is exploratory and through anatomical knowledge, visualization, somatization, hands-on exercises, communication through touch, improvisational scores, Birgitte Lundtoft facilitates a listening, caring and playful movement class with inspiration from her studies in Body-Mind Centering(r).
Birgitte Lundtoft (she/her) is a dancer, choreographer and somatic movement teacher based in Copenhagen. She creates learning environments, performance installations and site responsive works. She cultivates a language that paints with tactile, visual and moving articulations and explores themes such as nonlinear and polyrhythmic networks of things, weaving of body and place & radical softness.
She holds a degree in Dance & Choreography from Danish National School of Performing Arts and is currently studying Body-Mind Centering® (2022 till ongoing) and Psychology.

DANCING ANATOMIES with SEBASTIAN GRUBB
Born and raised in California, Sebastian has been a professional dancer, choreographer and instructor since 2007. He has won awards, toured extensively as a performer, taught throughout the U.S. and Europe, and enjoyed numerous collaborations with other dancers and teaching artists. He is now based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Sebastian has been heavily influenced by the work of Frey Faust, both his biomechanics compendium called "The Axis Syllabus" and his dance teaching style. Sebastian has also engaged in long term mentorship with Scott Wells, whose playful and accommodating style changes Contact Improvisation from a mysterious practice into a delightful social invitation.
In this class series, Sebastian will bring technical perspectives from The Axis Syllabus and apply it to solo movement research, partner exercises and flowing dance phrases.
"Sebastian Grubb is one of the most able bodied and able minded dancers I know. His classes are full of relevant instruction and authentic exuberance." - Nuria Bowart
