About Myself...
My name is Som Jairaj Ankar, a Research Scholar in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, NIT, Tiruchirappalli. I am working under the supervision of Dr Pinkimol K.P. (Assistant Professor, NIT Tiruchirappalli). My PhD work is concerned with the broad research area: "Dimensioning and optimisation of the hybrid energy storage system and development of control strategy based on drive cycle for Electric Passenger Car".
Before joining PhD, I completed my Master of Technology (M.Tech) in power system and control from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, NIT Raipur in the year 2019. I did my Master's Dissertation under the supervision of Dr Anamika Yadav (Associate Professor, NIT Raipur).
My research interests: Design of power electronics converters, Electric vehicles, Artificial Intelligence techniques application in Power system protection, Protection of High Voltage DC Transmission systems.
I am the recipient of prestigious Prime Minister's Research Fellows scholarship (PMRF) awarded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
