I plan to incorporate it into a CMS like Drupal, WordPress or Joomla!
Workshop version 4
This is a picture of my cluttered bench as sorting stuff from the move to New workshop number 5.
I was lucky and started with a big workshops then V4 (above 2020) was an old porch & now in process of moving again!Â
My equipment maybe old in the picture but very flexible with the most modern piece of kit Rigol OscilloscopeÂ
My Hameg scopes I find these useful as a quick & dirty look at signals. I have seen stuff a digital scope struggles with!
Looking for part-time work as limited to what I can do due to medical issues over the last 10 years & an accident damaging my back.

Customer retention • BT (BT Customer Contact Centre)
Supporting BT customers to resolve high-level customer complaints. I had a very good resolution rate even to the extent of selling new products after getting a good resolution from a complaint.
Dealing with BT social networking input (Facebook & email enquiries)
1986 to 2011
Tried to get a full-time job & had many misfires due to IT outsourcing & privatisation in the 80's!
So started by spending a week at BT as a network engineer only to be privatised!
Then to HPÂ where again 2 weeks to find out they were going to outsource work but on this occasion had plans changed & offered a job on oil rigs.
I turned this down so they put me in touch with the company taking over the contract & covered the southwest part-time for 12 months.
This experience did give me access to all the major manufacturers for the southwest warranty repair!
So went self Employed
Self Employed • SolutionPoint Info 1986 - 1991
Hacked a major bank in the late 1990s gaining information about high-value customers which the bank rewarded me with a value of £600 (using inflation calcs would be £1,600 in 2026!)
Electronic repair to board level for Arcade machines, office equipment, PC, word processors, typewriters, games machines, home computers and industrial controllers.
In the 90's my business partner & myself opened a successful office equipment shop at the top of Tuckingmill at the crossroads until 2000. We employed 4 others besides ourselves.
Working directly with contracts from AEG Olympia, Olivetti, IBM, Microsoft, Sage, Netgear.and BT wholesale (to get businesses in the adoption of ADSL in Cornwall).
One area I specialised in was linking data systems that were never designed, giving the customer the whole solution for communication (Content Management System some being web-based).
At the start I leveraged my knowledge of motorsports & contacts in working as an Auto-electrician. Even to the point of repairing electronic garage test equipment, ECU & BCU to chip level. Â
Also repaired theatre, bands, DISCO & event equipment which has gone on to install & run lighting & sound for events in the 80's through the 90's!
Due to my not wanting to leave the Southwest, my dad pushed me to get a trade so studied to be an electrician after leaving school.
I enjoy motorsport and have participated in car trials/rallies. This included rebuilding gearboxes engines even down to redesign of gearbox and differentials by CNC. With a great interest of any form of engineering from large steam engines to miniature electronics and then Internet of Things (IOT). As an example creating a competition gearbox for my motorsport.
Camborne Town Christmas Lights. Creating & fabricating new light displays and adding controllers onto existing displays to give movement. This included installing un-metered electrical supplies for the lights working alongside Western Power. While working in the highway I have completed a traffic management course for a licence for road closures and working on the highway. Other tasks included managing volunteers, applying for grants and operating a cherry picker(mewp). I had responsible for the health and safety of the volunteers and the general public. Leading to produce safety plans and complete test certificates for structural and electrical systems.Â
Camborne Round Table. Fundraising included organising an attempt to get in the Guinness Book of record with the most people competing in a three-legged race & collections which raised over £5000 for the HandStand Appeal. I had to organise the site including car parking and amenities. During the planning had to devise health and safety plans and get publicity to get people to turn up. Also added distractions with stalls to keep people interested in the lead-up and just in case we did not get our 500-people target. In the end, we only just missed getting the record.Â
My late father was a carpenter/builder who I have worked with and also built my extensions to my properties, so have knowledge beyond the normal DIY. So have an understanding of building regulations. My dad was brought up on a farm where we lived so have a farming background & put my hand to most things as farmers do!
Electronics building and design including micro-controllers Raspberry PI / Arduino.Â
While working on vehicles I got to hack the can bus which is a project i want to repeat.
Also, repair and restoration of vintage computers. Using my own Oscilloscope, logic analyser, IC programmers (CPLD, EPROMS and JTAG), and Logic probes. Have also designed PCB and built for several projects.
Also worked backstage / rigging in places like the Minack and Regal theatres building sets, displays and lighting.
Can you see who is in the picture in the top monitor above picture?
I have great respect for Keysight with Daniel Bogdanoff sent me some goodies for me!
Growing up I wanted to be a stunt man but for only several events. I did get to meet David Prowse and on meeting him I can see why his voice was dubbed even thou he had vocal coaching.
Me in makeup for filming & teaching of for the working in the entertainment industry.
Interesting as the only industry as an electrician you end up doing another job like extra or spotlighting stars!
