Overview
Solurexa ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Solurexa app. We designed this app to work with minimal data collection — most data stays on your device.
Information We Collect
Location data:
When you grant location permission, we use your GPS coordinates to fetch UV index data for your area. Your coordinates are sent directly to Open-Meteo (a free, open-source weather API) and are not stored on our servers.
Skin type preference:
You select a Fitzpatrick skin type (1–6) within the app. This value is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to us.
Saved places:
Any locations you bookmark are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data.
Subscription status:
If you subscribe to Solurexa Premium, Apple processes the payment and RevenueCat (our subscription platform) verifies your entitlement. RevenueCat may collect your Apple App Store receipt and a pseudonymous user identifier. We do not receive your payment details.
How We Use Information
We use location coordinates solely to retrieve UV index and weather forecast data from Open-Meteo. We do not sell, share, or monetize your location.
We use subscription status from RevenueCat to unlock Premium features within the app. No personal data is used for advertising or tracking.
Third-Party Services
Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com):
Provides UV index and weather forecast data. Your latitude and longitude are sent with each request. Open-Meteo does not require an account and does not store personal data.
RevenueCat (revenuecat.com):
Manages in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Apple App Store:
Processes all payments. We never receive your credit card or payment information.
Data Storage & Security
All user preferences (skin type, saved places, last location) are stored locally on your device using React Native AsyncStorage. This data is included in your device's standard backup unless you disable app backups in iOS Settings.
We do not operate our own user database. There are no accounts, passwords, or profiles associated with this app.
Children's Privacy
Solurexa is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us and we will address the issue promptly.
Your Rights
Since we do not store personal data on our servers, there is nothing to delete or export from our end. To remove all app data, simply delete the Solurexa app from your device. This removes all locally stored preferences and saved places.
To cancel your subscription, go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app on this screen. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
