Contribution Types Expectations
All expectations for contribution types have some leeway depending on style. These are only general guidelines.
We don't want you to change your style, but we do want to see what a fully polished piece looks like in that style!
If you would like to contribute with a medium not listed here (e.g. photography), please choose a sample piece for your portfolio that closely resembles what you anticipate your contribution will be like.

Fully lined or equivalent, legible. Relatively standalone story/scene. Has a background (may be simple/abstract)
A "piece" is one story/scene, which can be a single page or multiple pages.
Digital Merch
Digital Merch
Fully colored and shaded or equivalent.
A "piece" is one design or a set of designs for the same merch type (e.g. a bookmark themed around one character, a set of bookmarks themed around one/multiple characters)
Graphics
Graphics
Fully colored or equivalent. Helps support surrounding imagery/context.
A "piece" is one asset or a set of assets to accompany text from a single context (e.g. one image for Table of Contents, a set of images for different moments in a fic)
3D Pieces

Complete structure/shape. Cleanly photographed.
A "piece" is a photograph (or image if digital) of the 3D component(s) that fits on a single- or double-paged spread, wherein all components follow some consistent theme.

A "piece" is one pattern or a set of patterns of the same craft medium (e.g. one cross stitch pattern, a set of crochet patterns for several characters)

Fanfiction, stories written in prose. Grammatically correct or requires minor edits. Relatively standalone story/scene.
A "piece" is one story/scene, which can be a single page or multiple pages.

Expository, Argumentative, Research/Review, News, Editorial, Feature, etc. Grammatically correct or requires minor edits.
A "piece" is text focusing on one topic overall, which can be a single page or multiple pages.
