I established this Twitter handle to promote the work of our group and to show some glimpses of my life balancing three kids and quantum research career, and linked to the posts on this page. When Twitter became X, it ceased to be a very useful platform for networking and finding related information - I'm now @SpintronicMum on BlueSky instead, seeing how it develops, so you can find me there. Since I have had such lovely feedback from those of you who liked to see these things, I will leave a few old posts of my pictures and thoughts to linger here, skipping all the article and conference promo, though I can't bring the replies along.

For #WomensDay, consider that choosing a surname for your kids is hard if both partners are attached to theirs, so start discussions early. You don’t have to follow social norms. After long debates on alternatives, we flipped a coin for name order, and mine was last.

Agonizingly declined invited speakership at conference as clashed with son’s 1st day of school. Amazingly they were flexible enough to have conf 2 days later instead! Most don’t have that option - thinking of all parents who make impossible choices @Momademia
Reviewer just criticized my 12 year publication record, missing the fact I had 3 kids & therefore only 7 years post-PhD with ERC rules
