Purpose: To swiftly and intentionally distribute funds across the U.S. to help provide immediate relief to people at the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
How it works:
We have identified ten groups supporting community members who are most vulnerable to the impacts of COVID-19, including: people of color; houseless and food-insecure people; indigenous communities; currently and formerly incarcerated people; queer and trans communities; and poor and working class people (see Guiding Principles). On April 6, 2020 we made a collective donation evenly distributed to each group.
1. Visit the "List of Funds" section and donate directly to each group. If you would like to focus your efforts on a selection of what we have listed, that is of course welcome too.
2. Once you have donated to the funds of your choice, please visit our "Collective Response" page to mark your contributions. The sentiment behind sharing is to feel the full impact of our collective giving. No need to share if you don't feel comfortable.
3. Keep an eye out for more opportunities to support our community. In the meantime, please consider donating to your local food bank.
