Welcome

About Me

I'm a professor in the Dept. of Applied Mathematics at the School of Aerospace Engineering of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM).

My research focusses on computational fluid dynamics developing of novel tools for data analysis enabling the detection of spatio-temporal patterns.

Recently, I have developed reduced order models (ROMs) taking advantage of the insights provided by classical data analysis tools and using deep learning strategies. I have also contributed to the fields of flow control, global stability analysis, analysis of flow structures in complex flows (transitional and turbulent) using data-driven methods, and prediction of temporal patterns using machine learning and soft computing methods.
