"Howdy! The name's Quinn Jarmai, this here's my shop and I'm a Pokémon Trainer! Wh-hat? No, not like from the Bygone Age! No, I TRAIN Companions! So! Stand back and watch me work!"
Pokémon are amazing creatures and it through the companionship shared between Altermews and Pokémon that has allowed for Altermews to survive and societies to persist since the first days of Groudon's Reign to the present.
Companions are the Pokémon who are more intelligent, reliable, and/or trustworthy than others, and certain breeds have been bred for the specific purpose of aiding and abiding their Altermew masters. These are known as Drafts and Mounts. And then there's Loyal Companions... the Pokémon that used to be wild and feral, but have been Tamed to obey their new master.
But what if a person Tamed a Loyal Companion that they wanted to use as a Mount instead? Or a Draft? Or how about a Draft that shows quantities better suited as a Loyal, and so forth.
Well! The Town of Solara Veil put out a call for a Pokémon Trainer and they received an answer! Unlike the Pokémon Trainers of the Bygone Age, Pokémon Trainers of the present are specialized in re-training Companions so that they have a new designation! This specialization comes after years of training and learning, so Pokémon Trainers are exceedingly rare (especially since many have met their untimely demises while in study), but those who have mastered the Occupation are incredibly handy to have around!
Of course... the services of a Pokémon Trainer comes at a price, but it's worth it!
Choose wisely, though! Once a Companion's designation is changed trough Training, it cannot be unchanged!

While all Companions have the ability to become a Loyal Companion to their owners, it's important to note that certain Pokémon cannot become a Draft or Mount Companion.
Think about it!
A small Pokémon, like Clefairy or a Mudbray, cannot suddenly become a Mount Companion!
The Pokémon Trainer has established requirements that are based on their ability to train certain Companions.
Note Exception - Healing Pokémon: Only specific Pokémon can be trained to be Healers and the Pokémon Trainer CANNOT train just any Pokémon to be a Healer. See here for more details.
✦ Trainable Draft Companions must be fully evolved before they can be considered to become Draft Companions.
✦ The jobs/tasks of new Draft Companions must make sense! After all, it wouldn't make much sense if a Butterfree was tasked to protect Property or Livestock.
Read through the descriptions of the Hazard before choosing a potential Pokémon to be Trained to become a Draft!
✦ Trainable Mount Companions must have the Mount status in order to be rideable by their Owners. You can find the Mount Status either on the Mount Companion Page or in the Taming page.
Note 2 or more Draft Companions owned by the same Owner cannot have the same task as another! There is no stacking! Chose wisely!
Note At this time, Solarans are only allowed to own 1 Mount except Adventure Guilders, who can own 3 Mounts.
However, there might be a way to up the limit. Perhaps it's time to buy a Stable?
If your Submission features your character interacting with a Town NPC/Town Worker/Guilder who relates to your Purchase, then your item's price will be reduced!
Why, you might be asking?!
The Town Council encourages interactions and creativity, that's why!
Also! Got extra items or want to give something to a friend? You can send them a Gift!
A member sends a Purchase Request via the drop-down menu found in the Submit Mail channel on the Discord server for a Pokémon Training Item.
If the item has already been purchased, then send a General Submission Ticket.
This will open a pop-up form to fill out.
In the form, the member must provide the following information:
Which character the purchase(s) is for
Which store(s) you are purchasing from (The Loyal Steed)
The Item that the character is purchasing & what Companion it affects
Note For a Companion to become a Draft Companion, please state what their task will be. (Ex: Pest Control, Fire Prevention, etc)
Provide a link to your Storage. Make sure the link is clickable!
Wait for a mod to review your request and confirm your character's Purchase. Once you get that confirmation, congratulations! Your Companion has now changed to become a Loyal/Draft/Mount!
Okay, here's the deal.
The Bandit's Lair does not have an officially trained Pokémon Trainer (they're quite hard to come by, after all). However! All Outlaws should be thankful that Big Boss Levi is such a resourceful person with a lot of skills! He's a busy man, so approach him if you dare!
✦ Boss Levi acts as the Pokémon Trainer for Outlaws and he operates the same as the Loyal Steed's Pokémon Trainer.
Boss Levi charges 50 Coins PER Training Item!
Nope! There are no limits!
No! Livestock companion must remain as a livestock. And a Loyal/Draft/Mount companion cannot turn into a livestock one as well.
Draft Tasks can be Fire Prevention, Bandit Protection, Pest Control, Herding, Heatdrop Furnace, Flash Flood Prevention, Heatwave Prevention, and even helping with businesses! After all, Drafts can help out in times of Hazards & Unpredictable Weather Elements.
