Every year, Sola Power Throwing Academy hosts a permit competition for Shot Put, Discus, Hammer and Javelin.

The Academy has hosted 15 annual throws competitions and in 2024 opened a brand new Javelin runway to complete the facility. Sola Power now hosts a permit competition in every throwing event. 

The competition has seen the likes of world-class athletes including Jacko Gill, Lauren Bruce, Ben Langton-Burnell, and many international athletes from across the globe.
