About Me

I'm Shashwat Patel — a CNC machinist by trade and an indie iOS developer by build. I have an associates degree in Electrical Engineering and a certification in CNC manufacturing.

CNC Machinist, 5 Years
I've spent the last five years working hands-on as a CNC machinist — programming, cutting, and problem-solving on the shop floor. That background shapes everything I build: I know what a real workflow needs because I've lived it, not guessed at it.

Indie iOS Developer, 13+ Apps and Counting
I've built and shipped more than 13 apps on the App Store, spanning CNC and machining tools, space and games, and everyday utilities. I'm still building — every app comes from solving a problem I actually ran into, whether at the bench or off it.

Currently Building: Sohm
Right now I'm heads-down on Sohm, an electrical engineering calculator toolkit for iOS — Ohm's Law to PCB trace width, plus a camera-based component scanner to scan the value of Resistors, Capacitors by just scanning it. It's the same instinct as my CNC apps, applied to a different bench.

Beyond the Screen
When I'm not machining or coding, I'm powerlifting. I love engineering in the broadest sense — whether that's a G-code program, a barbell program, or a line of Swift, I'm drawn to the same thing: figuring out how something actually works, then making it work better.
