This project, known as the Keltisches Langhaus, is a prototype inspired by traditional beer tent architecture commonly found in Bavaria. Designed as part of a larger park development in Munich, the Longhaus serves as a unique and engaging playground for children.
Created in collaboration with Richter Spielgeräte, the playground combines imaginative design with high-quality materials, especially durable Austrian timber.
It features inclusive play areas that are easily accessible for children with limited mobility or those who use wheelchairs, ensuring a welcoming and fun environment for all.
Most of the posts in this project utilise a concrete-free foundation system engineered by Richter Spielgeräte. Instead of fixing the posts with poured concrete, this method uses crushed concrete pieces as a sustainable alternative. This system allows for faster assembly, easier repairs without dismantling the entire structure, and significantly reduces the environmental impact. By reusing existing materials rather than producing new concrete, the approach helps cut down on CO₂ emissions and supports a more circular and eco-friendly construction process.
