The Praxis Core test is made up of three subtests covering reading, writing, and math. Read on for the steps needed to take and complete the test.
Step 1:
Go to the Praxis website https://www.ets.org/praxis/in.html and learn about the Praxis Core.
This is the same site you will use to register. You will have two options in completing the Praxis Core.
Option 1: Take the three subtests as one combined test (5752)
Option 2: Take the three subtests individually
Reading (5713)
Writing (5723)
Math (5733)
Step 2:
Chose how you will take the Praxis Core and register for your test(s). Register at https://www.ets.org/praxis/in.html.
Option 1: If planning to take the Praxis Core as one combined test, register for test 5752.
Option 2: If planning to take the Praxis Core as the three individual subtests, register for

Writing 5723
Math 5733
Choose the testing location that makes most sense for you. Ivy Tech in Fort Wayne, as well as Goshen College are testing locations close to Grace College, but you can choose any location that is best for you. You will be able to search locations on the Praxis website.
Step 3:
Prepare to take the Praxis Core

Writing: 160
Math: 150

Step 4:
Take and pass the Praxis Core. You've got this!
Make sure to input Grace College as a location where you want your scores sent.
After you have taken the test(s), email Mrs. Thompson at thompsjl@grace.edu with your scores. This alerts her to be on the lookout for your official scores and helps direct your path to candidacy moving forward.
If you do not pass, you will need to take the test a second time. You do not need to retake subtests you have already passed. It is recommended to use 240 Tutoring if needing to retake a test. See Step 3 for a link to 240 Tutoring for the Praxis Core.

Yes, but it is not recommended. Here are some considerations for the "At Home" testing option:
Below are a few reminders and resources we would like you to share with students planning to use the Praxis “At Home” Testing option:
● Not every test is offered all the time, so proctors/sessions may be limited when students are looking to schedule an at-home test.
● Computer firewalls and security applications can interfere with the test delivery software. If candidates experience this issue, they may need to disable or reconfigure their applications prior to the test.
● At home testing requires a functioning microphone. Students must use an internal or external microphone that isn't part of a headset to talk to and hear the proctor. Headsets or earphones aren't allowed.
● Students planning to test at home should thoroughly review the following resources prior to registering for an test:

**Remember to put Grace College down as a recipient of your scores.

FEE WAIVER REQUESTS must be received by the appropriate closing dates shown below. Late or incomplete requests will be returned unprocessed.
