Students from the School of Engineering are eligible to attend a cultural and social summer programme at the KDU Penang University College. Typically the programme lasts two weeks and takes place during the summer vacation. Be part of the "Students As Mentors" scheme

You can either be a Student Mentor (current student) or a Mentee (new student).

Student Mentors are current students that have been trained to help new students as they start at the University of Lincoln. They have completed the year you are starting and would like to share their experience and the knowledge they have gained to help and support you. Main roles of a Mentor are:

  • Help and encourage your mentee/s as they start university

  • To sign-post your mentee to support and know when to refer

  • Use your experience and expertise to inform your mentee/s

  • To create a supportive environment for mentees

  • To maintain the confidentiality of the mentee

  • To establish and maintain boundaries and expectations

If you would like to become a mentor or mentee, please email Dr Chalashkanov on nchalashkanov@lincoln.ac.uk.
