Loyola High School, Pune, has long stood for sporting tradition, discipline, and the pursuit of excellence. Generations of students have carried this ethos into competitive arenas across disciplines, reflecting the school’s deep commitment to building character through sport. With the recent commissioning of a world‑class athletics track and field facility on campus, Loyola is uniquely positioned to take the next leap: to become a national hub for track and field excellence. Loyola aspires to achieve something historic: to nurture Olympians from its own school grounds. We see this as both an institutional mission and a national service - building a platform where every talented Indian child with potential can find access, coaching, and opportunity and a pathway to the Olympics.
As part of their Golden Jubilee celebrations, the Loyola Class of 1976 (76ers) along with the Ex Loyola Alumni Network (ELAN) are initiating a novel idea of hosting a 3 day Inter School Athletics Sports event with a view to leverage Loyola’s world class athletic track infrastructure to create opportunities for athletes from the Pune district. The main idea is that the Class of 76 and ELAN will jumpstart this 3 day event (TRAC 76) and subsequent Alumni batches will continue this as a tradition of sorts as each batch celebrates their reunions.
We look forward to active participation from all stakeholders, including corporate sponsors, advertisers, schools, athletic clubs, athletic associations and volunteers as we aspire to build a comprehensive athletics eco system to develop international level athletes from the Pune district.
