Are you passionate about finding solutions to societal problems (climate change, criminal justice, etc.) but lack the data analysis skills to make an impact? Or have you ever considered a career working with data?

Then attend the SCCDS Datathon on the Los Angeles City College campus on Saturday, November 15! Attendees will gain hands-on experience exploring real data the same way that professional data scientists do. This event is open to any current high school or community college student, and no prior experience working with data is necessary. Registration is free, and attendees will receive free lunch and swag.

The CSUCI Datathon is an incredible opportunity for High School and Community College students to dive into the world of data science alongside professionals! Participants will explore cutting-edge data science topics in engaging sessions, gain insider knowledge on what it's really like to be a data scientist from our expert panel, and then put their skills to the test in a thrilling datathon challenge using a surprise dataset. 

With a full day of learning, competition, exciting prizes, delicious food, and more, this event promises to be both educational and unforgettable!

We’re thrilled to announce the inaugural Santa Barbara Data Day! This is a great, FREE event for rising high school juniors and seniors + rising college freshmen and sophomores to explore the data science programs at SBCC and UCSB and hear from industry professionals about life after graduation!

Santa Barbara Data Day attendees will hear from panels of current data science students and professionals, and get hands-on experience with data in breakout sessions with UCSB faculty! 

Join us February 21, 10am-3pm, at Henley Hall on the UCSB campus. Registration is free and required as space is limited!
