Do I only need the app?
You can still use the app to add and remove contacts as well as sending and reviewing notifications. With that being said, you will not have access to the following features if you do not have the hardware:
Without Breathalyzer:
Testing is diabled due to app regulations.
Without BoronSwitch:
Car disable feature cannot be used.
How do I add contacts to the categories?
You can add other users of SoberGuardian to your categories! Simply use the generated friend code your contact gives you and have them accept your request.
What personal data do you collect?
The only required personal detail is your email as you need this for an account. Optionally, you can also provide your name and phone number for your contacts to see. We do not share any of your data to any third parties!
Does the facial recognition use both pictures and video?
We specifically use images to evaluated drunkeness through the AI.
How do I connect the hardware to my car?
Power on the breathalyzer and connect to the device from the app's settings screen.Â
Fill out the required fields to provide your account login to the device.
Connect the BoronSwitch's relay side and the killswitch side to either end of the starter cable.
