Next 나노융합청정소 : SOFT FOUNDRY

(Seoul National Univ. co-Operative Flexible Transformative)

Ι VISION

NSI (NANO Systems Institute) at Seoul National University, Korea, is founded in 2003 envisioning to

1) promote the interdisciplinary collaboration,

2) provide a platform to translate new sciences in universities to the start-up company,

3) serve as a hub for new technology initiation.

Major fundings of NSI are Future Materials Discovery Business, BRL (Basic Research Laboratory), GF(Global Frontier Program) and PRC(Pioneer Research Center Program), whose goals are the VLSI realization of nano devices, nano dot manipulation, and development of energy conversion devices.

Currently 22 PIs at SNU are involved in NSI and the annual funding from the government and industry is about $5.2 MM with the rapid growth. We also have the shared facility for the (soft-) lithography and provide the training program for these facilities. We are currently aiming to leverage for the SOFT (Seoul National Univ. co-Operative Flexible Transformative) Foundry.
