Twyford Snooker Club was originally known as Twyford Men's Club, and moved to its current location on the Wargrave Road in 1909 although the history of the club dates back to before 1880. The Twyford Guide & Directory dated 1898 records a working men's club with over 100 members. From inception the local church had involvement in the running of the club and in 1898 the founder and President of the club was the Rev. E.G. Wikinson of St. Mary's Church, Twyford. The management committee consisted of local people who had involvement in many parish activities including H.W. Verey, L. Treacher, H. Franklin and E.S. Davis.

With the conclusion of the war the Rev. Acworth was once again active in supporting the men of Twyford who had survived and returned home. In February 1919 a meeting was held to wind up the funds of the Twyford and Ruscombe War Committee and the cash balances were apportioned between the Working Men's club and the Berkshire Prisoners War Fund. Rather curiously, as part of the War Committee winding up process a number of captured German Army rifles were gifted to the club for storage (possibly for display) and nothing is known about what happened to them. Perhaps they were issued to The Home Guard during the Second World War?

Wargrave Snooker club is a Committee run snooker club, based in the Woodclyffe Hostel, behind the Library in Wargrave. The snooker club consists of 3 full size snooker tables that run off light meters and also has a separate bar area.

The owner and inspiration behind the creation of The Reardon members only snooker club is David Deakes. In 1954 at 16 years of age he won the boys Billiard Championship of Great Britain, having only being playing the game himself for 10 months. Since then he was always interested in the snooker scene and wanted to provide facilities for young players offering the best conditions and opportunities, that is when he decided to build his own club in Hanley. In 1983 the Reardon opened its doors and since then he has coached 3 players over the years who have gained professional status, the last one being Brandon Sargeant.

Cousins is a friendly and welcoming club with great facilities. We are a family run business with over 20 years experience running snooker clubs. We run two London based clubs, our first just off the busy Holloway road, and our recently opened Edmonton branch. Both have great transport links and are easily accessed by road or rail. Both clubs boast a variety of full size snooker tables, English pool tables and American pool tables, as well as fully licensed bars. Our clubs cater for all and we pride ourselves on our friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. We provide the perfect environment whether you want a fun night out with friends, a relaxing drink, or a competitive game of snooker! We look forward to welcoming you to the Cousins family soon!

The club exists since January 2005. A nice full-size snooker table is located in the CERN barracks, together with all of the infrastructure needed: carpet, lights, score-board and most importantly, a Fridge to put the beers in! In 2020, works were launched to strengthen the club room floor, prior to painting, new carpet and re-levelling the table:

The snooker club is open between 9am and 11pm seven days a week. There will be a few occasions when the room is needed for another Barn activity and members will be warned in advance by email and notices in the club room.

There are important issues to discuss, including the adoption of a new constitution for the club, so please attend if you can. The meeting will be followed by the payment of the 2024 subscriptions (30) and updating of entry cards so please bring cash or cheques.

The decision to close the club was taken reluctantly. The tables were dismantled and the parts carefully numbered before being put into storage in a dry barn on the outskirts of Hickling. In October 2011 all the parts of the tables were taken out of long-term storage before being reassembled and re-covered by an expert restorer.
