@Yocat333, apple basically told me the same thing today! I have two 5th generation ipods that this has happened to. First my son's 2 weeks ago and now my daughters. At first I thought maybe my son misused his, but when it happened to my daughters, I thought this is nuts....you can only tell it's warped if you lay it on a flat surface... I like you was very dissapointed with Apple for not standing behind thier product. They told me that I have to complain to customer service and if they get enough complaints then maybe they will do a recall.. Like I have nothing better to do!!! Ugh?. I have a mac book, 4 different i pods ranging from 4th generation,5th generation and shuffles...and 2 iphones.....VERY DISPLEASED WITH APPLE!!!!
I also have several products from Apple. I've gone on line and googled 'bent ipods' and/or 'warped ipods 'and we are not the only ones. I'm pleading with people to please complain to Apple because they told me the same thing...only if there's many complaints will they do something!!! I guess all we can do is spread the word and do it LOUDLY!!! I'm going directly to an Apple store this week and see if there's anything they can do...if I'm not happy with the response I'm calling all the TV programs I can think of to share my disappointment.....hopefully if it's broadcasted pucblicly they will do a recall....I'm furious and hate when big corporations take advantage of their consumers!!!
I had the same problem after I bought ipod 5th for 3weeks. I got an ipod nano and an ipod touch 4th and they never had any problem. As soon as I 've seen it bent, I reported to Customer Service and went to the nearest apple store. Luckily, they have replaced the new one for me.
I to have this bent thing going on as well I think this issue needs to be brought up to the news, I was asked the very same questions and our ipod has been very well looked after both of them so I think it would be in Apple's best interest to hounour a recall and fix the defect, I am so mad I totally did not expect this kind of thing from Apple ?
Hi, I have an older model of iPod touch with iOS 5.1.1 and I am trying to login to my iCloud to get some music across from my iTunes library which I am using on my iPhoneX and iPad 5th Gen, but I can not get pass the second level of security as it is keep asking me to type in my old iPod Recovery Key (RK-) which I have no idea where I can get it.

I have send an email to Apple Support asking how I can access my iCloud account on my old iPod touch with iOS 5.1.1. I do not remember my recovery key (RK) numbers. I have an account with Apple and have this unit registered in my account, however I can not get the iCloud music access on my old iPod to all my music on iTunes, I can only get the music which is ripped to the library and is stored on my laptop.

Well, I took mine apart and at some point it stopped working. If you're careful it will probably still work if you put it back together (mine was more like an autopsy because the touchscreen already didn't respond to input. I was then dumb enough to short the battery hoping the voltage drop would reset it, but now I probably also killed the battery. It could theoretically still be made usable with quite a bit of effort, but it wasn't even that great when it was new.
