What is Snippets Express?
Snippets Express is an add-on for Google Docs which helps you store and manage a collection of text fragments so you can easily reuse them in multiple documents. It is a simple but powerful solution for users of Google Docs who rely on snippets of precomposed or often-referenced language in preparing their documents. Snippets Express is a handy companion for maintaining your clause library, code snippets, or recurring phrases across all of your Docs!
Installing Snippets Express
1. Open the add-ons menu from a Google Doc and click on Get add-ons.
2. Search for "Snippets Express" using the search bar in the add-on marketplace dialog.
3. Select the Snippets Express among the results and click the Install button.
4. Accept the authorizations prompted by Google by clicking Allow.
Using Snippets Express for the First Time
1. Open the Google Doc with which you would like to use Snippets Express.
2. Select Snippets Express from the list of installed add-ons in the add-ons menu, then click Start.
3. Accept authorizations required by Google by clicking Continue.
4. Once the add-on has loaded, click the Get Started button in the sidebar which has opened in your Doc.
5. From the sidebar, you can now review, revise, or insert into your Doc the first example snippet which has been created for you. The instructions for doing so can be found here.
