# Privacy Policy — ShuttR Check for Android
**Last updated: October 2026**
ShuttR Check ("the app") is developed by Christian Haemmerle. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use the Android version of the app.
## Short version
Everything you create in the app — your cameras, measurements and service log — stays on your device. The app has no account, no sign-in, no analytics and no advertising, and it does not send any data anywhere.
## What the app stores on your device
- **Camera profiles and measurement history** (name, shutter type, test results) and your **service log** are saved locally in the app's private storage.
- This data is never uploaded, synced to a server, or shared. If you uninstall the app, this data is deleted with it.
- If you choose **Export Backup** or **Export Measurements**, the app creates a file and hands it to the Android share sheet. Where that file goes is entirely your choice.
## Camera access
ShuttR Check requests access to your phone's camera to measure the light pulse produced when you release your analog camera's shutter. Camera frames are processed in memory, in real time, to calculate a shutter speed — no photos or videos are recorded, saved, or transmitted.
## Data collection and sharing
The app collects no personal data and no usage data, and shares no data with third parties. It contains no analytics, crash-reporting or advertising SDKs.
If you leave a rating through Google Play's in-app review prompt, that review is handled by Google Play under Google's privacy policy; the app itself receives nothing.
## Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
## Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date.
