Phebsoft (Pvt.) Ltd. ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Snapback mobile application ("Snapback" or the "App") for iOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Snapback is built around a simple principle: your photos stay yours, on your device.
This policy explains what we do and do not collect, and how the App handles your information.
Snapback is designed to keep your images private. We do not require an account, we do not ask for your email, and we never receive, store, or have access to the photos you capture or edit. Your images are created, decoded, edited, and stored entirely on your own device.
No accounts. You do not create an account, log in, or provide an email address to use Snapback.
No access to your images. The photos you capture and edit are processed and stored locally on your device. We never receive or store your images on our servers.
No prompt logging. When you use the AI editing assistant (see Section 4), the text of your request is used only to generate your edit and is not logged or stored by us.
To keep the App stable and improve it, we use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. These collect anonymized, de-identified information such as:
Device model and iOS version;
Crash reports and performance/diagnostic logs;
General, aggregated usage patterns (for example, which features are used most often).
This information is de-identified and cannot, by itself, be used to contact or personally identify you. It is handled under Google's privacy practices.
Snapback includes an AI editing assistant that lets you describe an edit in plain English. When you submit a request:
Only the text of your request leaves your device. Your photo, and any image data, never leaves your device for this feature.
Your request text is sent to our backend server, which forwards it to our AI provider, OpenAI, solely to determine the editing adjustments to apply. OpenAI processes the request under its own API terms.
We do not log or retain the text of your requests on our servers after the response is returned.
When your device contacts our server for this feature, our server necessarily receives your device's IP address as part of the network connection. We do not log or retain your IP address.
Snapback is offered as an auto-renewing monthly subscription. All payments and billing are handled exclusively by the Apple App Store. We do not collect, receive, or store your payment card or billing information.
To enable your subscription (including offline use), the App periodically validates your subscription status with Apple and stores a validation token locally on your device. This process does not involve collecting personal information beyond what Apple provides to confirm your subscription is active.
Snapback requests the following permissions:
Camera — to capture RAW images and show a live preview.
Photo Library — requested only when you choose to export an image to your device's Photos. Snapback does not read or scan your existing photo library.
Snapback uses the following third-party services:
Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) — for anonymized analytics and crash reporting. See Google's privacy practices: https://policies.google.com/privacy
OpenAI — processes the text of your AI editing requests only, as described in Section 4. See OpenAI's privacy practices: https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy
We do not display advertisements in the App and do not use advertising or attribution SDKs that collect your data.
All of your images and edits are stored locally on your device. Any backup or device-to-device transfer of your images that you initiate is under your control and does not pass through our servers. We store no image data.
Because Snapback does not collect personal information that identifies you — no account, no email, no stored images, no stored requests — there is generally no personal data held by us to access, correct, or delete.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. As we do not maintain personal data that identifies you, these rights will in most cases have nothing for us to act on. For anonymized analytics data collected via Firebase, you may also review and control certain data through Google's own tools and policies.
If you have any request or question about your data, contact us at the address in Section 12.
Snapback is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes — for example, a new feature that changes how data is handled — will be reflected here before or when that feature becomes available.
