Animal Caregiver
Join an amazing team that cares for many animals by providing cleaning, feeding, & playing! You can foster a pet in your home or help others that have dedicated space to foster many at one time. Once approved, we'll do some "match-making" - want to foster a dog or cat? puppy or kittens? maybe a laid-back senior? maybe you're really good with sick or special needs pets? or maybe you'd like to team up to help another foster? So many options....
Transport Volunteer
We transfer most of the pets in our care to wonderful trusted partners in northern VA & along the east coast. You can drive a few animals in your car or become certified to drive more animals in the SAR van. Transports to Staunton VA are typically on Wed and/or Sat. We furnish the gas and crates. Donating one day a month, you get homeless pets one giant step closer to their forever loving homes.
Admin Volunteer
As with any business, there's lots of work behind the scenes!. You can make a difference if you're computer savvy, like to keep others organized, don't mind short trips to the vet, enjoy lots of cleaning, or if laundry's your jam. We've got it ALL.
