Carlos Yu (he/him) is a sophomore & Creative Writing major. He was born in Manila, Philippines, but currently lives in Brooklyn. He eats rice with everything. He always misses his family and likes to write about them.
Johnny Lugo is a sophomore double major in Sociology and Neuroscience. He grew up in The Bronx, NY, but his family hails from The Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. He graduated from high school with an A.A. from Bard college, and was the recipient of the Posse Foundation Scholarship. Although interested in the STEM field, Johnny spends a lot of his free time writing poetry and songs, and prides himself on the research he is able to conduct and write being a sociology major. He has written papers in the past on topics such as decolonization of Puerto Rico, the injustices Breonna Taylor faced, and many more. He hopes to be able to continue researching and writing about these topics in the future. His interests include chess, writing, video games, and stepping.

Florence Yu is a junior from Honolulu, Hawai'i with interests in creative writing and music. In her free time she writes and doodles and is always sleepy.
Marley Reedy (she/her) is a sophomore at Wheaton interested in Anthropology, Creative Writing, and Environmental Studies. She is from Brooklyn and enjoys writing poetry. She appears in the 2020 issue of Sunset Press from Kenyon College. She is passionate about the environment and hopes to study abroad in the future. She enjoys the outdoors, crafting, and reading and has recently been inspired by the writing of Adrianne Rich. She works in the Fiber Lab on campus, training students to use digital embroidery equipment.
Olivia Payne (she/her) is a Sophomore Anthropology major and Hispanic Studies minor at Wheaton College, MA. She is a lesbian activist from Brooklyn, New York, and has written and delivered speeches advocating for racial and environmental justice all across the state. In 2019, Olivia testified at City Hall, spoke at Washington Square Park, and lobbied at New York's Capital Hill. She has also been quoted in the Huffington Post, the Gothamist, WNYC, and has appeared in videos produced by NBC, Mic, Seventh Generation, MAKERS, Futerra, and 350.org. More recently, she spoke at a local vigil during the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests. Next year, Olivia hopes to study abroad in Latin America and Europe to identify alternative social structures and apply them back in the United States. She loves fantasy novels, studying foreign languages, and broadening her understanding of the human condition.
Faith Freeman (she/her) is a Senior English major with a concentration in Popular Culture, Media and Literature and Psychology minor at Wheaton College, Massachusetts. She was born in Manhattan, New York, but raised in the Bronx. She has always privately written her own poetry, fiction/non-fiction pieces, but has been focusing her writing on racial issues within literature, and literary history. She hopes one day to be a published author and open an educational center for POC's with a focus on writing, and reading.
Amanda Barclay is a senior double major in International Relations and Visual Arts and Wheaton College, Massachusetts. Having been born in Kingston Jamaica and raised most of her life in Brooklyn New York, she has been exposed to many different ways of life and educational styles. She has spent much of her college career focusing on exploring different modes of storytelling and it is the common thread that ties her interests together. Much of her college career has been spent cultivating her own experiences and those of others into a cohesive body of interdisciplinary works. She is also the founder and owner of a small business in selling and curating her art via social media and her website. She has experience in completing commissions and business/social media marketing. Her interests in the arts include acting, dance and fashion, and she will continue to pursue these interests in her studies and beyond.

Olivia Bullock (she/her) is a sophomore and intended Creative Writing major at Wheaton College. She is from Reading, Massachusetts. While ultimately she hopes to publish her own writing one day, she is looking to work as an editor until then. Olivia has two adorable cats, a slight coffee addiction, and an ever-growing notebook collection (even though she mostly writes on her laptop).

Aviendha Taylor was born and raised in Connecticut but half of her family lives overseas in Japan. She leans towards fantasy writing in everything, but has been interested in more horror-oriented work recently.
Samzok Wangdi - illustrator
Samzok Tshogyel Wangdi is a Sophomore at Wheaton College. Her intended major is Visual Art. She is from Thimphu, Bhutan, and hopes to work in the art industry once she graduates. She likes to creatively express herself through different mediums such as singing, playing the guitar, and painting. She loves bubble tea, cats, and fashion.

Matt Lambert is a sophomore Visual Arts major attending Wheaton College MA. He is from Hampton, New Hampshire. His experience lies in painting (oil, watercolor), drawing, sculpting, and photography. Their personal work centers around his identity as an Asian American, mental health, and more.
Vu Do - illustrator
Vu Do (he/him) is a senior majoring in Visual Art and psychology. He is from Hanoi, Vietnam but went to school in Blue Hill, ME at the age of 14. His passion for art was ignited when he first got introduced to it sophomore year of high school and eventually expanded to many different aspects of art such as acting, cooking, photography, videography, dancing, etc. His works focuses on visual storytelling mostly of personal experience and hoping to be able to voice impactful and influential stories across in multimedia.
