Keynote Speaker
The Education Team, at HCWC, provides violence prevention education as a community resource for all people as they seek to develop healthy relationships with peers, partners, family, and themselves. We believe all relationships should be based on mutual respect and equality. Our hope is to start conversations and help community members build their skills around everyday consent, healthy relationships, peaceful communication, bystander intervention, and self-compassion.
HCWC envisions a future where violence and abuse are not tolerated in the communities we serve. The Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center (HCWC) is a local non-profit who offers free and confidential services to adults, youth, and children who are victims of family violence, dating violence, sexual assault and child abuse who live, work, or attend school in Hays and Caldwell Counties. Services are available in English and Spanish.

Lizzy Orman - I’m a graduate student in the Human Nutrition Master’s Program at Texas State University, working toward becoming a registered dietitian with a strong commitment to community-based work. I’m passionate about all aspects of food—whether it’s the science behind it, the joy of cooking, or simply sharing a good meal.
Currently, I work for a local nonprofit in the mental health field. Learning to prioritize our mental health is vital. For self-care, I enjoy reading, spending time outdoors, being with my husband and our pups, catching up with friends, and serving through my local church.
