Visiting Professor Jun Akimitsu received the International Award of Lifetime Achievement on Superconductivity at ICSM2025 (10th International Conference on Superconductivity and Magnetism 2025), held in Turkey from April 26 (Sat) to May 3 (Sat), 2025.

ICSM2025 is an international conference that fosters the exchange of knowledge regarding the latest experimental and theoretical research on innovative, cutting-edge materials and applied technologies related to superconductivity and magnetism.

This award honors the achievements of Prof. Jun Akimitsu in the field of superconductivity and was presented for "the development of advanced materials and the discovery of the magnesium diboride superconductor."
