One application makes you eligible for ALL Somerset Memorial Scholarship Fund scholarships.

American Legion Post #111 (# varies) - Plans to attend a post-secondary school and the recipient must be a relative to a Veteran and/or to an American Legionnaire. (Son, daughter, niece, nephew or grandchild)

AnnMarie Foundation - Has leadership qualities, volunteer efforts, and community involvement. The selection process should not be restricted to only the top twenty percent of students.

Big Bad Toy Store - Majoring in entrepreneurship, business, or computer science. Entrepreneurship will be given first priority.

Bruce Larson Memorial  - Must be in a sport or activity all four years of high school.

Donald C. Germain Memorial - Plans to attend a post-secondary school.

FNC Bank (2) - The recipient is chosen based on his/her essay, letters of recommendation, and volunteer and service work. Priority is given to children of FNC Bank employees and/or their customers.

George W. Sinclear Memorial Fund - Plans to attend a post-secondary school.

Jeff Geurkink Memorial - A student-athlete who has participated in a sport for four years and who plans to further his/her education. 

Lakeview Hospital - Plans to attend either a trade school or college. 

Mark and Richard Moulton Memorial - Plans to attend a post-secondary school.

Mary Smith - Plans to enter the field of education. The applicant must have a minimum grade point average of 3.3.

Northwest Communications - Plans to pursue a career in the technology field, preferably engineering.

Richard A. Mondor and Stefanie S. Biedler Memorial - A student-athlete who plans to further his/her education.

Robert and Joanne Seibel Memorial (2) - Recipient must be in a sport or activity all four years of high school.

Rose Baillargeon Memorial - Plans to study fine arts in college or who participated in fine arts in high school and will attend either a vocational school or college.

Sadie and Greg Ring Memorial - Plans to attend a four-year college or vocational school. The recipient must be involved in sports all four years of his/her high school career while maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher. This person must also have a very positive, friendly attitude, just as Sadie did.

SMC Ltd. (2) - Enrolled in a 4-year degree program and/or a 2-year technical or vocational school full-time. Students should be focusing education towards STEM programs and/or those interested in pursuing areas of study in Automation, Machine Tooling/Trades, Engineering, Manufacturing and/or Medical fields.

Somerset ATV Club (2) - Must have their ATV certification and plan to attend a post-secondary school.

Somerset Lions Club (2) - Plans to attend college or a vocational school. Must have volunteered during the year at Lions Club events, Somerset Chamber, or Somerset Fire.

Somerset Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc. (# varies) - Plans to attend either a vocational school or college.

Somerset Sno-Sports Club (2) - Must have completed a snowmobile safety course and be going to school to learn a trade and/or technical degree. 2 or 4-year degree such as construction, welding, machinist, or engineer.

Sons of the American Legion - Plans to study at a Trade School in the field of welding, plumbing, electrician, or building/construction. 

Victor and Elaine Martinsen - Plans to pursue a degree in math, physics, biology, or chemistry.

Victor and Marcella Martinsen Memorial - Plans to pursue a degree in engineering, technology, or business.

Wallace and Carol Belisle - Plans to attend a post-secondary school.

Wittstock Builders, LLC., Scholarship (2) - One scholarship supporting students furthering their education into a construction trade. A separate scholarship supporting students going directly into the workforce.

Ann (Schachtner) Austreng Memorial Scholarship. - 2 sport athlete, have a minimum of 3.5 GPA, confirmed in a Catholic Church and 100 hours of community service.

Fine Arts Music (2) - Must have been enrolled in choir/band  4 years and have had significant  involvement in some of the following activities; Dynamics, Jazz Band, Honors Choir, School Musical.

Somerset Baseball Association - Must have participated in Somerset Youth Baseball Association for at least 4 seasons.

Darlene Emerson Memorial Scholarship - Must be a Somerset graduate who plans on attending either a vocational school or college.

Brody Shipe Trades Scholarship (2) - Must be a Somerset graduate with priority given to students going into mechanics or a trade.

Harold and Theresa (Germain) Rivard Family Scholarship - minimum 2.8 GPA, participate in sports 4 years, plus other activities,plans to attend college of technical school.

Justin Dendinger Foundation Scholarship  - Priority to students pursuing automotive or other engineering degrees, or attending a technical school or trade school.


Wink Family - Playing a sport at a college or university that does not offer athletic scholarships. 


Somerset Girls Next Goal Scholarship- Played on the girls soccer team in high school and volunteered hours with Somerset Soccer Club.


Somerset Boys Next Goal Scholarship- Played on the boys soccer team in high school and volunteered hours with Somerset Soccer Club.
